PTSD is almost never an illness or a disorder, but an injury that can heal.

We all know that most people have experienced significant emotional or even traumatic events that can change the way they see, hear and experience daily life in the world.

Often people will not see a therapist at all and if they do, they may not find one who is effectively trained to help them.

After this training, peer supporters, therapists, first responders and life coaches will have a brief intervention that can be utilized in a variety of settings to neutralize an emotional flood.

This powerful process quickly establishes trust and rapport, stabilizes emotions and is valuable in planning further treatment.

Clients or peer supported professionals are immediately encouraged and able to see a way to manage their emotional states effectively, which is why the process is nicknamed MESE (Managing Emotional States Effectively).

Those who have been using the MESE process appreciate its brevity, effectiveness, and versatile usefulness.
